Paige Dahlman

Aquatics Director & Coach

Paige started teaching swim lessons in 2018 and has had the privilege of guiding children through every splash, float, and confidence-building milestone. She began with traditional swim instruction, focusing on foundational techniques and water comfort. In 2021, she joined the Float 4 Life team, where she believes the structured progression and individualized approach to water safety just makes sense—especially for helping our littlest floaters succeed.

Her favorite age to teach is under three years old—there’s nothing more rewarding than watching a toddler build trust in the water and grow in their abilities. But the absolute best part of teaching? That magical moment when it clicks—when a child pulls all their skills together for the first time and begins to float and move independently.

Alexis Debuhr

Aquatics Facility Manager

Alexis has been teaching float lessons at Float 4 Life since 2023, and it’s been the perfect blend of her passion for water safety and her background in early childhood care. Before joining Float 4 Life, she worked as a nanny, which helped her build a strong foundation in understanding children’s needs, emotions, and learning styles.

Her favorite age to teach is the toddler stage—their curiosity, energy, and rapid growth in the water make every lesson exciting and unique. What she loves most about teaching is getting to know each child’s personality and discovering how they learn best. Every floater is different, and building that trust and connection is what makes each success in the water so meaningful.

Kim McDuffee

As both a parent and an instructor, Kim knows how important it is for children to feel safe, supported, and confident in the water. That’s why she is so passionate about teaching swim lessons that emphasize water safety at every level. Every child learns differently, and she strives to meet them right where they are—whether it’s their very first splash or they’re learning to master a back float. With calm, consistent guidance, Kim loves helping little ones grow more comfortable and capable with each step of their swimming journey.

Jenny Unruh

Jenny Unruh is a float instructor who feels most at home in the water. Having spent her childhood living by the ocean and her teenage years as a diver, her love for the water has been a lifelong passion. Her favorite age group to teach is 6 months to 2 years old, when little ones are discovering the world around them and developing new skills every day. Many parents and coaches often joke that they aren't sure who is having more fun during lessons—Miss Jenny or the child.

Outside of the pool, Jenny works with preschoolers at Cavett Elementary, where she has developed a deep appreciation for the unique personalities of young children. She loves the fun, unscripted nature of toddlers and finds joy in their curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm for learning. Jenny has been married to her husband, Jason, for over 20 years, and together they have two sons, Porter and Cooper, who are both in college. Whether in the classroom or the pool, Jenny is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where children can explore, grow, and thrive. Her energetic and playful approach helps children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn, making each lesson both meaningful and fun.
